Haidy Ghonim is a contemporary artist born in Cairo, Egypt, in 1991 who currently lives and works in Cairo, Egypt. Ghonim is a multi-disciplinary artist whose practice spans the mediums of installation, photography, sound, and moving images, with a particular interest in new technologies. holds a B.F.A. from the Faculty of Fine Arts and is currently a Ph.D. student at the Graphic Design Department at Fine Arts Helwan University, Cairo, Egypt. She exhibited in various international art venues, including the 6th International Print Triennial, Cairo, Egypt (2025). The 7th China International Printmaking Triennial, China Museum, China (2019).The 6th Tokyo International Mini-Print Triennial, Tokyo, Japan (2018). Italian Artists to 3rd Global Print in Douro, Portugal (2017). Ghonim was awarded several times, including the Salon of Youth Honor Award was the first in printmaking in 2016 in Cairo, Egypt. She was granted several artist-in-residence programs, including the Sabbatical Grants for Egyptian Creatives, Cairo, Egypt (2022). Her work is in public collections, including the China Museum in China and the Museum of Modern Art in Cairo, Egypt. Her works have been featured in several publications, including Venezia Art Magazine and Al Kawakeb Magazine.
